Marine Weather HF Voice Broadcast for the Gulf of Mexico

height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...Hurricane Zeta near 29.2N 90.6W 970 mb at 5 PM EDT
moving NNE at 21 kt. Maximum sustained winds 95 kt gusts 115 kt.
Zeta will move inland and weaken to a tropical storm near 32.8N
87.0W late tonight and move well inland to near 37.5N 78.8W Thu
afternoon. A cold front extends from a 1007 mb low over
southwestern Louisiana to 25N93W, to 21N94W and to inland Mexico
near 20N96W. The front will reach from northern Florida to near
25N87W and to the Yucatan Peninsula by Thu evening and move to
just southeast of the Gulf Fri. Fresh to strong northwest winds
behind the front will spread across the Gulf through early Fri.
By Fri afternoon strong north winds will be confined to the Bay
of Campeche, then diminish to fresh speeds late Fri night. High
pressure will build in behind the front through the weekend,
with winds diminishing and seas subsiding throughout. A strong
cold front will move across the area Sun and Sun night followed
by fresh to strong north to northeast winds, becoming strong
northeast winds entire area Mon and Mon night as strong high
pressure builds southeastward across the region. Seas will build
with these winds.
