Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...Hurricane Zeta near 26.9N 91.7W 976 mb at 11 AM EDT
moving N at 16 kt. Maximum sustained winds 80 kt gusts 100 kt.
Zeta will move inland to near 30.1N 89.9W this evening and
weaken to a tropical storm well inland near 35.3N 83.9W Thu
morning. A cold front from southwestern Louisiana to 25N95W and
to inland Mexico just south of Tampico will reach from the
Florida Big Bend to the NW Yucatan Peninsula by late Thu. By
late Fri, the front will move southeast of the area. Fresh to
strong northwest winds behind the front will diminish to fresh
speeds Thu through Fri. High pressure will build in behind the
front through the weekend, with winds diminishing and seas
subsiding throughout. A strong cold front will across the area
Sun and Sun night followed by fresh to strong north to northeast
winds.
