Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...Recently upgraded Hurricane Zeta near 19.5N 86.0W
991 mb at 5 PM EDT moving NW at 9 kt. Maximum sustained winds
70 kt gusts 85 kt. Zeta will move to just inland the Yucatan
Peninsula near 20.5N 87.7W late tonight, to near 22.1N 89.9W Tue
afternoon, to near 24.2N 91.4W late Tue night with maximum
sustained winds 70 kt gusts to 85 kt, then track north to near
26.8N 91.4W Wed afternoon. Zeta will begin to accelerate some to
the north- northeast and weaken to a tropical storm inland near
30.8N 88.9W late Wed night and to a depression well inland near
35.0N 83.5W on Thu. A cold front will move into the NW Gulf Wed,
reach from southeastern Alabama early Thu and from near
Sarasota, to the NW Yucatan Peninsula, to the far eastern Bay of
Campeche by late Fri and weaken as it reaches the far
southeastern Gulf water on Sat. Expect for long-period swell
from Zeta to begin impacting the south-central waters by early
this evening.
