Marine Weather HF Voice Broadcast for the Gulf of Mexico

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A strong cold front will enter the NW Gulf by Mon
afternoon, then quickly reach the southeastern Gulf waters Wed
and the Straits of Florida Wed evening. In the wake of the
front, strong northerly winds are expected in the western half
of the basin, with gale force winds possible over the far
western Gulf and over the southwestern Gulf Tue and Tue night.
High pressure behind the front will build southeastward across 
the area through Fri while weakening. A weak secondary front 
will drop southward to the northern Gulf early on Fri and reach 
the far southwestern Gulf by Fri evening. Stronger high pressure 
will build southward over the Gulf behind this front. The 
gradient between it and a tropical wave that will be in the 
western Caribbean Sea is expected to lead to increasing 
northeast winds over most of the south-central Fri and Fri night.
