Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A stationary front extending from SE Louisiana to
western Cuba will gradually dissipate. Remnants of the front, as
a surface trough, will lift northward across the eastern Gulf
over the next couple of days. A weak low may develop along the
trough axis.

.TONIGHT...W winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 5 to 7 ft. 
.THU...W winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 4 to 6 ft. 
.THU NIGHT...NW winds less than 10 kt in the evening, becoming
