Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...High pressure across the northern Gulf will support
gentle to moderate winds and slight seas across the basin.
Locally fresh winds are possible each night through Sun night in
the eastern Bay of Campeche near the Yucatan peninsula due to
local effects.

.TONIGHT...Variable winds less than 10 kt, becoming SE 10 kt
after midnight. Seas 2 ft or less. 
.FRI...S winds less than 10 kt in the morning, becoming variable
winds less than 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less. 
.FRI NIGHT...Variable winds less than 10 kt, becoming S less
than 10 kt after midnight. Seas 2 ft or less. 
.SAT...SW winds less than 10 kt. Seas 3 ft in the morning,
subsiding to 2 ft or less.
