Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...Potential Tropical Cyclone Nine near 15.8N 63.7W 
1006 mb at 11 AM EDT moving WNW at 20 kt. Maximum sustained 
winds 40 kt gusts 50 kt. PTC Nine will move to 16.9N 66.4W this 
evening, 18.5N 69.8W Thu morning, inland to 19.9N 73.0W Thu 
evening, 21.4N 76.0W Fri morning, 22.7N 78.3W Fri evening, and 
23.8N 80.2W Sat morning. PTC Nine will change little in 
intensity as it moves to near 26.3N 82.6W early Sun. Elsewhere, 
surface ridging will dominate the Gulf waters through Fri 
supporting mainly gentle to moderate return flow.
