height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A ridge along 26N will lift north tonight ahead of a
surface trough moving across Florida into the southeast Gulf
before dissipating over the central Gulf through Sat. This
pattern will maintain gentle to moderate winds and slight seas,
except for locally fresh winds near the coast of the Yucatan
peninsula due to local effects.

after midnight. Seas 2 ft or less, building to 3 ft after
midnight.
