Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico .SYNOPSIS...A stalling front that extends from the Florida Big Bend region to near 25N90W to offshore of Brownsville, Texas will lift northward as a warm front tonight into early Sat. Strong thunderstorms ahead of the front may produce gusty winds and locally higher seas over the NE Gulf tonight. A reinforcing cold front will move into the NW Gulf late tonight, cross the northern Gulf Sat and Sat night, then extend from near Tampa, Florida into the SW Gulf on Sun. This front will exit the basin by Mon as a high pressure ridge passes eastward across the Gulf early next week. Another cold front may move into the northern Gulf late Wed or Wed night.
