Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico .SYNOPSIS...A frontal boundary extending from Panama City Florida to Tampico Mexico is starting to move southward over the western Gulf as cooler air pushes into region. The entire front will start to drift southeast Wed, and reach from northern Florida to the southwest Gulf late Wed, from southwestern Florida to the southwest Gulf Thu, before becoming stationary and weakening through Fri. Fresh to strong northerly winds and building seas are expected in the wake of the front through Thu. Another cold front is expected to move over the northern Gulf Fri night and Sat, then stall and lift northward as a warm front Sat night. Smoke from agricultural fires in southern Mexico and Honduras will continue to reduce visibility at times over the southwest and south central Gulf.
