Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...Weakening high pressure centered E of the area will
dominate Gulf weather through Mon. A cold front just offshore
the Texas coast will stall along the Texas and Louisiana coasts
by this evening, then lift north Mon as a warm front. Fresh to
strong SE winds will impact waters within about 120 nm N of the
Yucatan coast both this and Mon afternoons, due to a surface
trough over the peninsula. Another cold front will enter the NW
Gulf early Tue, then move through the Gulf through Wed.
