Marine Weather HF Voice Broadcast for the Gulf of Mexico

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...Patchy fog is expected over the NW Gulf, especially
during the overnight and early morning hours through Tue night.
A weak high pressure ridge extending from the western Atlantic
across the northern Gulf of Mexico will persist through Wed. The
pressure gradient will tighten later this week between the ridge
and low pressure forming over inland Mexico, resulting in
freshening return flow Wed night through Thu night. A cold front
will slowly move southward into the northern Gulf Fri night
through Sat night. Fresh to locally strong NE to E winds will
develop each evening near the northern Yucatan Peninsula, then
weaken overnight as the associated trough moves offshore.
