Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A cold front will move S and SW into the N and NE
Gulf through tonight. High pressure building in behind this
front will support strong E winds and building seas over the
eastern basin this afternoon through late Sat. A second cold
front will reach the NW Gulf Sat evening, then extend from
northern Florida to north of Veracruz Mexico by Sunday evening.
This front should move SE of the Gulf by Mon evening. This front
will also bring strong winds to most of the area, with near gale
force winds in the SW Gulf Sun through early Tue morning.
