height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A ridge will reside N of the Gulf through Fri night.
A weak surface trough will drift W across the central and 
western Gulf tonight through Fri. Fresh to locally strong E to SE
winds are expected on the E side of the trough. A cold front 
entering the NW Gulf Sat night and Sun will usher in moderate 
fresh to strong N to NE winds and building seas. A developing 
surface trough will generate strong winds over the NW Gulf Mon 
and MOn night.
