Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...High pressure sliding east of the Gulf is supporting
moderate to fresh winds over the northwest Gulf, off the Yucatan
Peninsula and in the Straits of Florida. A cold front will move
off Texas coast tonight. The front will reach from near Tampa
Florida to Tampico Mexico Sun night, followed by fresh to strong
NW winds over the northeast Gulf. The front will sweep south of
the southeast Gulf Mon High pressure will build over the central
Gulf behind the front through mid week.

.SUN...NW winds 10 to 20 kt. Seas 3 to 5 ft.
