Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico .SYNOPSIS...A weakening cold front cross the Gulf from near Cedar Key Florida to just north of Veracruz, Mexico. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are occurring along this boundary over the central and western Gulf. This front will become stationary by early Wednesday, from near Sarasota, Florida to the western Bay of Campeche. Strong NE winds behind the front will continue through Wed afternoon. Winds will gradually veer southeast across the basin Thu in advance of next cold front, which is expected to reach the Texas coast Fri morning.
