Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...The pressure gradient between high pressure over the
southeastern U.S. and weak low pressure in the western Caribbean
will briefly support fresh to strong winds over the SE Gulf
overnight, then moderate to fresh winds through Thu. The low
will slowly move NW toward the Yucatan Peninsula through Thu,
then pass near the Yucatan Peninsula Thu night and move into the
Bay of Campeche on Fri. Easterly winds will freshen over the NE
Gulf late Sat into Sun as a cold front moves into the area.
