Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico .SYNOPSIS...The combination of a pre-frontal trough over the NE Gulf ahead of a stationary front located over the southern U.S. along with very deep tropical moisture in place continues to result in scattered showers and thunderstorms over the NE and north-central Gulf. Some of this activity may contain strong gusty winds causing rough seas. Moderate to fresh southwest winds are expected over the NE Gulf ahead of the front and trough through at least Sun. Winds will pulse to fresh over the western Yucatan Peninsula adjacent waters through Mon, but to fresh to strong Sat night, and again Sun night.
