Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico .SYNOPSIS...A strong cold front extending from near Lake Charles, Louisiana to inland Mexico just south of Brownsville, Texas will quickly move across the NW Gulf tonight. It will reach from near Pensacola, Florida to 26N90W and to the eastern Bay of Campeche early on Sun, then move to southeast of the area early on Mon. A brief period of minimal gale conditions is expected off the coast of Veracruz Mexico on Sun. Otherwise, strong to near gale force northwest to north winds will follow in behind the front tonight through Sun. Scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms, some with strong gusty winds, will precede the cold front as it moves across the Gulf.
