Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico .SYNOPSIS...A cold front extending from Panama City to Tampico, Mexico will reach a position from northern Florida to the central Bay of Campeche this evening. Strong to near gale force winds following the front reach gale force over Tampico adjacent waters. Gale force winds will prevail in this region through this evening when gale conditions shift to Veracruz adjacent waters and the Gulf of Campeche. Expect building seas of up to 12 or 13 ft within the area of gale force winds. The front will stall from Tampa Bay to the western Yucatan Peninsula by Mon morning and transition back to a cold front on Tue morning as a low pressure develops along the front just off the coast of Georgia.
