Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico .SYNOPSIS...A cold front extends from the Florida Big Bend SW to the the NW gulf near 26N92W where it transitions to a stationary front that then extends southward to the Bay of Campeche. The cold front will reach from Tarpon Springs, Florida to the central gulf to near 26N94W tonight where it will completely become stationary. The front will then lift N toward the NW Gulf states through Tue evening before moving off the Texas coast again early Wed and stalling over the NW Gulf through Fri. Expect strong to near gale force NE-E winds N of 22N and W of the front through Tue morning. Fresh to strong N-NE winds are expected W of the cold front on Wed.
