Marine Weather HF Voice Broadcast for the Gulf of Mexico

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A weakening stationary front extends SW from the
Mississippi Delta to Veracruz Mexico accompanied by patchy fog
with fresh to strong winds W of the front. A cold front will
move off the Texas coast around sunrise Mon, reach from the
Mississippi Delta to Veracruz Mexico on Tue and stall from the
western Florida Panhandle to Veracruz on Tue and Wed. The front
will move E again on Wed night reaching a position from the
Florida Big Bend to the Bay of Campeche on Thu, and move E of
the area on Thu night. Strong to near gale force northerly winds
are forecast to develop across the western gulf waters on Tue
night, increasing to minimal gale force along the Mexican coast
near Tampico on Wed night. These minimal gale conditions will
shift S along the Mexican coast near Veracruz on Thu. A trough
will develop over the western Yucatan Peninsula each afternoon
through Wed, move W across the SW gulf during the overnight
hours and lose identity by late each morning.
