Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A nearly stationary front extends from near Panama
City Florida to just S of Brownsville Texas. A cold front
stretches from near Morgan City Louisiana to Corpus Christi
Texas. The front will merge and head SE as a cold front. The
cold front will extend from central Florida to the southern Bay
of Campeche near 18N94W Tue night and then from the Florida
Straits to near 18N94W Wed morning. Strong high pres building S 
behind the front will bring strong N winds to much of the western
and central Gulf beginning early on Tue. Winds could reach gale 
force near Veracruz Tue night. Winds over the Gulf will veer from
the E and SE and slacken to between moderate and fresh by Fri as
high pres centered over Texas shifts E to the SE United States.
