height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...Winds will gradually veer to the southwest ahead of
a cold front expected to reach the Texas coast today. The front
will stall from S Louisiana to near Tampico Mexico on Sun, then
lift slowly northward. A strong cold front will reach the Texas
coast Monday. High pressure building southward behind the front
will induce strong northerly winds west of the front, with the
highest winds expected near Veracruz Tue evening.
