Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A surface low over the Mississippi Delta will
continue E passing across northern Florida tonight while
dragging a weak cold E across the northern gulf waters. A cold
front will move off the Texas coast on Sun afternoon, and reach
from the Florida Panhandle to the Bay of Campeche early Mon,
then move S of the area on Tue night with remnants of the front
lifting back N across the Sw gulf on Thu. Strong to near gale
force northerly winds will spread S behind the cold front
tonight, increasing briefly to minimal gale force near 23N97W
late tonight into early Sun morning, and across the far SW
waters near Veracruz early Mon through Mon evening.
