Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico .SYNOPSIS...A cold front extending from NE Florida southwest to just northwest of Tampa, to near 24N86W and to inland the central Yucatan Peninsula will move slowly southeastward across the eastern Gulf through early Sat afternoon, then become stationary from the Florida Keys to just NW of western Cuba and to the northern Yucatan Peninsula by Sat evening. Fresh to strong north to northeast winds will follow in behind the front, but become east to southeast moderate to fresh winds Sat night as the front dissipates and while high pressure over the area slides eastward.
