Marine Weather HF Voice Broadcast for the Gulf of Mexico

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A surface trough will develop along the western
Yucatan Peninsula during the late afternoons, then drift
westward across the southwest gulf waters during the overnight
hours accompanied by a fresh east to southeast wind shift with
the trough dissipating along 96W during the late mornings. An
east to west ridge will extend across the gulf waters between
26N and 27N with a surface high developing along the ridge near
27N93W today. The high will meander over the northwest gulf
through late Thu, as a weak trough moves southeast into the
northeastern gulf waters where it will stall on Thu, and then
drift west and dissipate on Fri, with anticyclonic flow across
the entire gulf waters late in the week.
