Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A surface trough extending from northern Florida to
the central Gulf near 25N90W will weaken late today. High
pressure will build across the northern waters in the wake of
the trough. Elsewhere, a surface trough will move off the
Yucatan Peninsula into the Bay of Campeche each evening,
accompanied by moderate to fresh nocturnal winds.
