Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico .SYNOPSIS...A strong surface trough extending from near 24N89W to the eastern Bay of Campeche will move west-northwestward towards the Texas coast through early Sun night accompanied by numerous showers and thunderstorms that could produce rough seas. A tightening of the pressure gradient between the trough and high pressure that extends westward from the Atlantic to the eastern gulf will induce fresh to strong southeast winds over the west- central Gulf waters early this morning before becoming strong to near gale force by early this afternoon over the central Gulf.
