Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico .SYNOPSIS...A weak front extending from near Tampa Florida SW to 25N86W then W to NE Mexico near 23.5N98W will weaken as it moves toward the SE gulf through Mon night. High pressure building over the Gulf in the wake of the front will support gentle to moderate N to NE winds through Tue night. Winds over the basin will gradually veer to SE by Thu night. On Fri, the high will enter the western Atlc but ridge W across the northern gulf waters and maintain moderate E to SE winds over the basin. A weak thermal trough will move over the eastern Bay of Campeche from the Yucatan during the morning then dissipate during the afternoon each day beginning Wed.
