Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico .SYNOPSIS...A stationary front extends from Tampa Bay Florida to 26N90W, where it becomes a warm front northwestward to inland southern Texas near Corpus Christi. The stationary frontal portion will weaken through this morning, while the warm frontal portion lifts back north through tonight in advance of a cold front that is expected to reach the Texas coast early on Sun. This front will be preceded by a line of scattered showers and thunderstorms. The cold front will reach from the Mississippi Delta to the Bay of Campeche on Sun night, from the Florida Big bend to the Yucatan Peninsula on Mon night, then slowly move southeastward on Tue to southeast of the area by Wed evening.
