Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...Winds are reaching minimal gale force along the
coast of Veracruz Mexico following a late season cold front
extending from near Pensacola Florida to the southwest Gulf near
18N93W with scattered thundestorms ahead of the front. Gales
will diminish overnight as the front shifts east. The front
sweeps southeast of the Gulf through tonight. Winds and seas
diminish into Mon as high pressure builds across the basin and
persists through mid week. A weaker cold front is forecast to
stall and dissipate over the northern Gulf Thu.
