Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico .SYNOPSIS...Strong to minimal gale force winds are ongoing in the western Gulf following a late season cold front that extends from Louisiana near 29N90W to Veracruz, Mexico near 20N96W. Fresh to strong southerly flow is ahead of the front to 84W. Gale force northerly winds will extend to the western Bay of Campeche later this afternoon. The front will sweep across the southeast Gulf by late Sun night. Winds and seas will diminish from west to east through Mon morning. High pressure will build across the basin thereafter and persist through Wed. A new cold front is forecast to move off Texas and Louisiana Thu morning and extend along the northern Gulf Thu night.
