High pressure will begin building north of the region tonight, transitioning the front to a cold front that will move SE across the southern Gulf Tue through Wed. The front will then dissipate near the Florida Straits on Thu. Fresh to locally strong northerly winds are expected just after the frontal passage. A stronger cold front is forecast to come off Texas early Sat with fresh to strong winds preceding it and gale force winds developing in the SW basin Sat afternoon.
