Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico .SYNOPSIS...A cold front extending southwest from the Florida Big Bend to 25N95W to Veracruz Mexico will weaken across the southern gulf waters on Thu, and then gradually dissipate on Thu night into Fri. A second cold front will enter the far northwest waters late Fri night, stall from southwest Florida to Veracruz Mexico on Sun, with remnants of the front lifting rapidly northeast on Sun night and Mon as a third cold front reaches the northern coastal waters. A thermal trough will develop over the Yucatan Peninsula during the afternoons, drift west across the eastern Bay of Campeche during the overnight hours, and dissipate over the southwest gulf waters by late each morning.
