Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico .SYNOPSIS...A thermal trough will develop over the Yucatan Peninsula during the afternoons, drift west across the eastern Bay of Campeche during the overnight hours, and dissipate over the southwest gulf waters by late each morning. Surface ridging anchored over NW Atlc waters will move east ahead of a cold front moving into the northwest gulf waters late tonight. The front will extend from the Florida Big Bend to Tampico, Mexico on Wed evening then stall from central Florida to Veracruz Thu morning while weakening. The front if forecast to gradually dissipate Thu night into Fri. A new cold front will enter the far northwest waters Sat afternoon and stall east to west across the northern waters early Sun.
