height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...Cold front is presently over the NW Gulf from
Atchafalaya Bay Louisiana to Brownsville Texas. The front will
reach a position from the western Florida Panhandle to the
central Bay of Campeche Mon, where it will stall and gradually
weaken. Fresh to strong northerly winds and buiding seas to 8 ft
will follow the front tonight and Mon. The remnants of the front
may lift nortward on Tue, while a trough will remain over the SW
Gulf.
