height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A 1007 mb low pressure at 28N83W will move E of the
area overnight and drag a cold front E through the Florida
Straits late Sat morning. Near gale to gale force winds and
large seas NW of the front will diminish from the NW to SE
through Sat night. A ridge will extend from SE Texas to the
Straits of Florida on Mon and Tue with a surface high shifting E
to the Central Gulf waters on Wed night.

.TONIGHT...NW winds 15 to 25 kt. Seas 8 to 13 ft, subsiding to
7 to 10 ft after midnight. 
.SAT...NW winds 15 to 25 kt. Seas 6 to 9 ft. 
.SAT NIGHT...N winds 10 to 20 kt. Seas 5 to 7 ft. 
.SUN...N winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 3 to 5 ft.
