height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A cold front crossing the basin from the Florida
Straits to 22N90W, then stalls to 18N94W. Gale-force winds have
diminish this morning, leaving the Bay of Campeche with moderate
to fresh winds and seas to 10 ft. These conditions will
dissipate by tonight. A low pressure will form over the NE Gulf
by mid week and shift NE across Florida Thu and Fri. The
associated cold front will reintroduce gales to the coast of
Mexico near Veracruz on Wed night and Thu.
