Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A ridge will dominate the northern Gulf through the
middle of the week. A trough will develop late each day over the
Yucatan Peninsula and drift westward into the SW Gulf each night
where it will dissipate each morning. A cold front will move off
the Texas coast Wednesday, and extend from near Tampa Florida to
25N96W to Veracruz Mexico by late Thu. The front will stall from
SW Florida to extreme W Bay of Campeche Fri. Strong high
pressure over the Mid-Atlantic states with increasing winds over
the Gulf E of 85W Sat into Sun.
