height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A ridge will dominate the northern Gulf through the
middle of the week. A trough will develop late each day over the
Yucatan Peninsula and drift westward into the SW Gulf each night
where it will dissipate each morning. A cold front will move off
the Texas coast Wed, reach from SE Louisiana to Brownsville,
Texas Wed night, from the Florida Big Bend area to NE Mexico
late Thu, before stalling from SW Florida to near Tampico,
Mexico through Fri. Fresh northerly winds and building seas up
to 5 or 6 ft will follow the front.
