height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...Moderate to fresh southerly flow over the NW Gulf
between ridging over the northern Gulf and lower pressure over
Texas and northern Mexico will diminish as the ridge builds over
the eastern Gulf through Fri. A pair of troughs will move into
the Bahamas and central Caribbean, tightening the pressure
gradient by late week and resulting in moderate to fresh winds
and seas to 5 ft over the SE and S central Gulf by Sat.
