Marine Weather HF Voice Broadcast for the Gulf of Mexico

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...Northerly winds and seas will gradually diminish
across the Gulf overnight as high pressure shifts ENE across the
far NW Gulf. Fresh return flow will begin over the NW Gulf by
early Fri, ahead of the next cold front expected to move into
the NW Gulf late Fri then reach from the western Florida
Panhandle to the W Bay of Campeche by midday Sat. High pressure
behind front will support another round of strong Nly winds
across much of the basin, with gale force winds expected across
the west-central and SW Gulf on Sat.

.OVERNIGHT...NW winds 10 to 15 kt, diminishing to less than
10 kt after midnight. Seas 4 to 6 ft. 
.THU...N winds less than 10 kt, shifting to SE in the afternoon.
Seas 3 to 4 ft in the morning, subsiding to 2 ft or less. 
.THU NIGHT...S winds 10 to 20 kt. Seas 2 ft or less, building to
3 to 5 ft after midnight.
