Marine Weather HF Voice Broadcast for the Gulf of Mexico

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A cold front extends from Apalachee Bay to 24N90W to
inland Mexico near Veracruz. The front will reach from Tampa to
NW Cuba Tuesday morning, and move E of the area by early
Wednesday evening. Strong high pressure in the wake of the front
will bring fresh to strong northerly winds over much of forecast
waters from early on Tuesday sunrise through late Thursday
night. Winds will diminish through Thursday afternoon as the
high pressure shifts to the NE Gulf. The high pressure will
weaken on Friday as another cold front moves across eastern
Texas, and into the NW Gulf on Friday night. The front will then
reach from the NE Gulf to near 25N90W and the eastern Bay of
Campeche by late on Saturday followed by strong high pressure to
once again bring another round of strong northerly flow across
much of the basin, with northerly winds expected to reach gale
force in the far SW Gulf portion.
