A cold front will reach NW waters today after sunrise. The cold front will extend from the FL Big Bend to the central Gulf of Mexico to the SW corner of the area near 18.5N95W around sunrise on Monday. Gale-force N winds are forecast in the coastal areas of Veracruz Mexico, starting around noon on Monday. The gale-force winds are forecast to last for 24 hours or so. The front is expected to reach from Sarasota Florida to NW Cuba by Tuesday afternoon. Strong high pressure will build southeastward across the area in the wake of the front. Winds will remain in the moderate to fresh categories in the SW Gulf through the end of the week while gentle to moderate winds will prevail elsewhere.
