Individual waves may be more than twice the significant wave height. Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico .SYNOPSIS...A stationary front extends from extreme SW Florida to 26N90W where it begins to dissipate to the central Bay of Campeche. The frontal portion E of 90W will begin to dissipate tonight through Thursday morning. Strong NW flow along the coast of Veracruz will diminish by late tonight. A tight pressure gradient over the NE Gulf between the front and high pressure over the northern waters will allow for fresh to strong NE winds to exist over those waters through late early Thursday, with mainly NE to E fresh winds continuing into Saturday. The next cold front is expected to move into NW Gulf on Sunday afternoon, and reach from near the mouth of the Mississippi river to the eastern Bay of Campeche by Monday night. Fresh to strong northerly flow will follow in the wake of the front. Gulf of Mexico N of 26N W of 87W .TONIGHT...E winds 10 to 20 kt. Seas 5 to 7 ft. .THU...E winds 10 to 20 kt.
