Marine Weather HF Voice Broadcast for the Gulf of Mexico

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...Winds in the Florida Straits will increase to fresh
as a surface trough across Cuba continue to move W later this
morning. Fresh winds will continue to propagate W across the SE
Gulf through tonight with seas building up to 5 ft. A cold front
is forecast to move off the coast of Texas this afternoon and
then reach from near New Orleans SW to near Veracruz, Mexico
Wednesday morning. The portion of the front across the Gulf will
then stall Wednesday afternoon and then gradually dissipate
through Thursday night. High pressure building inland Mexico
will lead to fresh to strong northerly wind within 60 nm off the
coast Wednesday.
