Marine Weather HF Voice Broadcast for the Gulf of Mexico

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A trough extends down the Florida peninsula to
1006 mb low pressure over the eastern Gulf near 24N85W. The
trough and low will weaken as they move into the NW Gulf through
Fri night, allowing associated strong winds and seas over the NE
and N central Gulf to diminish. T.S. Nate in western Caribbean
near 15.8N 84.7W at 11 PM EDT is forecast to move into the
southern Gulf of Mexico overnight Fri and be near 24.3N 89.1W
Sat morning, then near 27.5N 90.2W Sat evening as a hurricane
and make landfall Early Sun. Nate moves well N of the area late
Sun. More tranquil marine conditions are expected early next
week in the wake of the system.
