Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...Hurricane Katia near 21.6N 94.6W 980 mb at 5 PM EDT 
stationary. Maximum sustained winds 70 kt gusts 85 kt. Katia is 
forecast to move to near 21.3N 95.0W late tonight, then to near 
20.9N 95.6W Fri afternoon, then to near 20.3N 96.7W late Fri 
night, then moving inland near 19.5N 97.6W by Sat afternoon 
while weakening to a tropical storm, dissipating by Sun 
afternoon. Major Hurricane Irma is forecast to enter the eastern
Straits of Florida Sat afternoon, then turn northward across the
Florida peninsula Sat night and Sun, bringing tropical storm 
force winds to eastern portions of the Straits of Florida and 
Florida Bay in the far SE Gulf late Sat into Sun.
