Katia is forecast to gradually strengthen during the next few days over the SW Gulf, reaching near 21.4N 95.4W this evening, near 21.0N 95.0W Thu morning, and near 21.0N 95.2W Thu evening. Katia will intensify to hurricane strength near 20.7N 95.4W by Fri morning, then weaken after it makes landfall Fri on the Veracruz coast and moves inland, reaching 19.5N 97.0W by Sat morning and dissipating by Sun morning.
